Beautifully voiced, professional guitars made from all solid, seasoned tone wood. The MD65CE Dreadnought maybe the entry point into Alvarez Masterworks line up but is still a truly professional level instrument with an awesome tone and unbeatable value for money. The MD65CE is fitted with our wonderful SYS650 dual pickup system with EQ and built in tuner. All solid wood really does make a difference and we’ve made sure Masterworks get the best out their solid wood construction. They are very open sounding, powerful instruments with rounded notes and plenty of bass. All models are made from hand selected, AA solid Sitka spruce or Red Cedar tops, and solid, cured mahogany or rosewood backs and sides. Each component is made of natural material including real bone saddles and nuts, maple and rosewood bindings and purflings, ebony bridge pins and green abalone inlays. Masterworks feature a one piece mahogany neck with a 50/50 finish, Grover tuners and 12th Fret abalone inlay. The Masterworks bracing system is forward shifted with scalloped, hand finished X braces that allow these guitars to project incredibly well. There’s lots of sustain and response and no matter if strummed or picked, the separation and balance across the strings is easily audible. Masterworks is one of the most impressive and affordable all solid guitar lines available, so now as many players as possible can enjoy the benefits of an all solid wood construction
